Cheating the Pepsi Apple Promotion
MacMerc has discovered a way to cheat in the Pepsi/iTunes store promotion.
From their site:
"The secret is the angle. I've found it to be 25º, but that's really no use when you're out in the field. Just tilt it until it seems about that, and look up towards it (hold it above your head). With luck, you should be able to see under the cap."
I cannot try this since I cannot find the promo bottles anywhere in Los Angeles, but if it works let us know!

I've done it to every bottle I have purchased already 15 songs won, it's real easy to tell if it's a winner or loser

if you turn it at the same angle and look up there to where the random letters are, you can read them upside down. the first one is a little hard, but after just a few, it's easy. i tried on 3 bottles and got 3 winners, but those were bottles i bought. (i saw they were winners, so i took them home, read the code without opening, and it worked. They taste even better not having to save that cap... :-) I haven't done this with a bottle i didnt buy, just because that's stealing, and i would be pissed if someone took the code off one of my paid winners! However, if you got some bored time and a pepsi sitting around... try it out. Fun to do... and an interesting little past-time!
