Clear Cover WD Hard Drive

wdraptorx.jpg

For about 12 seconds in 2001, putting a clear window on your hard drive was about the coolest a modder could do to his CPU. Then everyone came to their senses and decided risking their health and data just wasnt as cool as hyper-bright blue LEDs. 5 years later, Western Digital has released The Raptor X series. 10,000 RPM, 150gb, SATA, and they have a clear plastic cover so the head and spindles can be seen, all for $349. Now when your drive dies 3 days out of warranty you can visually see how cheaply made they are.
